When you speak with Veronne Clark, one thing becomes instantly clear, you’re in the presence of a passionate, visionary force. A fiery, forward-thinking leader in social impact, Veronne doesn’t just talk about change, she embodies it. Her words spark something deep, a pull toward purpose. The moment you hear her speak about what it truly means to serve others, you feel it: the call to do more, to reach further, and to connect more deeply with your community.
“I remember from an early age being with my father, and we would go out to give back to the community. At that age, I didn’t know what my body was truly feeling, but I knew I had joy, I knew I had this deep sense in my spirit and I want to continue to nourish that.”

Currently serving as the Director of Community for the Golden State Valkyries, she is recognized for building community centered programs that help to uplift and empower marginalized populations. A self-described “intrapreneur,” Clark specializes in bringing, vision, purpose and structure. Clark thrives to uplift the lives of others to catalyze meaningful change. This is why she continues to inspire admiration as an everyday Dreamkeeper™, transforming passion into lasting impact.
“I tell young people all of the time, ‘you have to listen to your body’ especially when you’re working or doing certain activities. Your body will show you, and your spirit will tell you exactly what feels right. When you are doing what you’re meant to do, your spirit will feel at ease and you’ll experience real joy. You’ll naturally want to do that very thing over and over again.”

VERONNE CLARK IN CONVERSATION
Q: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken in pursuit of your dreams?
The biggest risk for me was just going all in on this particular journey of social impact. I told myself, ‘I will go without for a short period of time to set myself up for a lifetime.’ Throughout my career, I see the benefits now because I’ve been so hyper focused on this journey of social impact. You can not be afraid to commit fully. Some people feel like going all in, means you’re boxing yourself in, but for me, it’s the total opposite. I’m not boxed in. I’m serving to display my level of expertise in this space. When people think of Veronne Clark, I want them to think of a servant-leader and someone who takes impacting the community seriously, with extreme intentionality.

Q: What’s the wildest or most unconventional dream you’ve ever had?
My wildest dream is to always be in the state of dreaming and executing. It’s not just about being a dreamer, but also a doer. You can’t just sit here and say you have all these dreams and you don’t execute. I literally wake up every single day and figure out, how do I maximize resources to give to marginalized communities and true people in need? I’m always in a constant state of daydreaming and strategizing, how can we push the envelope? How am I articulating the vision in a way that gets other people on board to execute for the greater good of the community?
Q: Describe the last time someone made you feel truly seen in your work or journey.
When I do the work is when I actually feel the most seen. Even though most of the work that I do is behind the scenes, it’s in those moments when I see another little girl who is challenged or dealt with some of the same things I dealt with, I see myself in her. I have dyslexia and I graduated with a fifth grade reading level, so much of my life has been beating a lot of odds. So I feel the most visible and recognized through the impact of the work I’m doing, when I see a young person trying to better themselves, or the growth in community as a result of our work.

Q: If your dream were a movie, what would the title be?
Go-Giver.
