Building Dreams, Creating Impact: A Look Back at 2025

FREE TO DREAM™ made waves of impact across various cities. As we reflect on the lives we’ve touched, we’re reminded that we all have the freedom to dream—and the power to take action toward what once seemed impossible. Nearly everything we see, touch, and experience began as a dream, brought to life by the courage to act and turn vision into reality.

Kicking off 2025, we brought our teachings, dream-fueled activations, and motivation to the Bay Area for All-Star Weekend. Our first West Coast Dream Summit brought together dozens of young people from partner organizations for an experience they’ll carry with them for a lifetime. From empowering local keynote speakers to Common sharing his own dreams on the main stage, closing out with an impromptu freestyle from the legend himself that truly moved the crowd. Our leaders then guided participants through a journey of claiming, envisioning, and navigating their dreams. Bay Area youth left with inspiration, a call to action, and a visual blueprint for bringing those dreams to life.

Continuing our impact on the West Coast, we opened the Rebirth of Sound studio and classroom inside Valley State Prison. This powerful program fosters healing, rehabilitation, and real-time skill building, offering industry-recognized certifications through access to high-quality studio equipment. Our first cohort successfully completed the program, walking away not only with original music and professional certifications, but with a renewed sense of identity, community, and personal transformation they had never experienced before.

Rebirth of Sound is life-changing for system-impacted individuals, reigniting dreams that once felt lost or impossible. The greatest lesson we’ve taken from this program is just how transformative intentional healing, rehabilitation, and restoration can be for those who need it most. We’re excited to share where this journey leads next in 2026.

For our final Dream Summit of the year, we headed to the East Coast—right to the heart of Brooklyn, NY. In partnership with the Brooklyn Nets and the Social Justice Fund, we welcomed 60 students from local partner organizations for an experience they’ll carry with them for a lifetime. From empowering keynote conversations with Jamilah Mustafa and Common, to intimate small-group activations centered on envisioning their dreams, and a premier game-day experience at Barclays Center in a private suite, the day was transformative. Students left with a deeper understanding that their dreams hold power—and that they have the authority to believe in them and bring them to life. FREE TO DREAM™ lived up to its name—helping opportunity youth and system-impacted individuals see and activate their freedom to dream. We are deeply grateful for the lives we’ve touched, the souls we’ve encountered, and the incredible support from partner organizations, Dreamkeepers™, and fellow dreamers. Our mission is to continue activating dreamers everywhere, empowering them to dream freely and turn those dreams into reality. Stay tuned for exciting updates in 2026: new resources, new locations, and new partnerships designed to inspire and uplift the next generation.
